MAIN POINT
Moralism Christianity
Moralism is trusting in or emphasizing behavior change yet leaves the heart untouched.
Words from the heart and thus reveal your heart.
Morality in and of itself is dangerous because it us to our need for a Savior, creating a false sense that you have nothing to repent of.
The Bible is clear that miraculous signs alone create faith in those whose hearts are hardened.
Moralism is because it is not fueled by the Holy Spirit nor does it lead to true heart change.
The sinful person is of their sin whereas a moral person is fooled about their sin and has no such awareness.
We cannot settle for morality from Jesus Christ.
Moral, religious, self-righteous people, are into believing that Satan has nothing to do with them because to themselves they are not really sinners.
Jesus didn’t come to build an earthly family, but a family from all over the globe thru faith.
A person’s relationship to Jesus one’s relationship to God and gains access to His family.
It is those who in Christ that are truly related to Christ in the most real way.
Jesus is warning the crowds, and you and me today, of two things:
- It is possible to be a moral person who doesn’t cheat, doesn’t lie or steal, doesn’t commit adultery, gives generously, but ultimately goes to because they never enter into a real relationship with Christ.
- It is possible to be an immoral person who steals and takes advantage of people, commits adultery, lies, you name the sins, but ultimately goes to because they enter into a relationship with Christ.
Ask yourself this: Is my life and pursuit of righteousness more like a tree or a tree?
Moralism ≠ Christianity.
