THE QUESTION: Why would Joshua tell God’s people to God?

Because knowing  God isn’t the same as choosing to  God.

WHY IS CHOOSING SO DIFFICULT?

• We like more than .

You can’t follow Jesus while continually reserving the right to go another .

• We’d rather Jesus than to Jesus.

Destroy the idols among you and turn your hearts to the LORD.

• We don’t always realize how much we need .

We would never abandon the LORD and serve other gods.

BIBLICAL TRUTH: Until we understand what we need from, we will never understand why we need a .

SIN ISN’T JUST:

“I’ve made some mistakes.”

SIN MEANS:

“I’ve against a Holy God.”

And that’s why Jesus didn’t come merely to make us ; He came to make us .

We don’t follow Jesus because Christianity gives our family a lifestyle.

LET’S MAKE IT PERSONAL: Before I can lead my family toward Jesus, I have to decide that I am Jesus.

LIVING OUT OUR CHRISTIAN FAITH…
