JOYFUL LIVING IN A GRUMPY WORLD
Philippians 1:3-8 –“I thank my God every time I remember you. 4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. 7 It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me. 8 God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.”
Psalm 30:5: “Weeping may tarry for the night, but JOY comes with the morning.”

PRAY THE J.O.Y.
J – Jesus First: Thank God for His character, your blessings, and what He has already done
O – Others: Shift the focus away from your own immediate needs by praying for the well-being and needs of others.
Y – Yourself: Bring your personal requests and needs to God last.
FOCUS ON GRATITUDE
Joy flows from a grateful heart. Make it a daily habit to count your blessings.
Thank God specifically for answered prayers, unexpected gifts, and the challenges where you have seen Him work.
PRAY THE SCRIPTURES: Praying with power often involves declaring God’s Word. When you base your prayers on biblical promises, you align your voice with heaven’s authority.
PRAY FOR AN ETERNAL PERSPECTIVE
When life is overwhelming, ask God for His perspective. Remember that God is in charge of your days, using circumstances to develop His character in you.
Romans 8:26-27 – “Likewise, the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
Mark 11:24 -“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”
