WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON?
TEXT: Matthew 24:4-14
WE VIEW GOD’S CLOCK WITH A LINEAR FORMAT.
A linear view of history places God as Creator and Redeemer
There is a real beginning and a real end. Romans 8:22
Some things to remember:
- Israel is the timepiece of God. Watch Israel, and you will know God’s heart.
- No one knows the day nor the hour of the Lord’s coming.
Matthew 24:36 – “Only the Father knows the time…”
1. KNOWLEDGE HAS EXPLODED.
Knowledge doubles every 12-13 months.
Dan. 12:4 “Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.”
2. PESTILENCES, PLAGUES, AND FINANCIAL CRISIS IN OUR WORLD.
Zech. 14:12; II Peter 3:10
3. THE REBIRTH OF THE NATION OF ISRAEL.
Biblical Prophecy teaches that Israel must experience a rebirth before the coming of the Messiah. Is.66:8-10 says that a nation will be born in a day. Matt. 24:32
Israel is the only nation created by a sovereign act of God.
Gen. 15:18; Numbers 34:2-15
The Bible prophesied the rebirth of the nation of Israel. May 15, 1948, Israel was given a Birth Certificate.
4.THE JEWISH PEOPLE ARE RETURNING HOME TO ISRAEL.
Jeremiah 23:7-8 declares that the Jews must return home before the Messiah comes.
Isaiah 31:4-5
TWO BELIEFS ABOUT ISRAEL:
- The Jews are God’s people and have an unconditional physical right to the land of Israel.
- Genesis 12:1 – The land that was promised.
- Replacement theology believes the Church has replaced Israel and inherited all their promises. Galatians 3:2
5. JERUSALEM IS NO LONGER UNDER GENTILE RULE.
Bible prophecy states that Jerusalem will not be under Gentile rule in the last generation.
Luke 21:24 Jesus predicted: “Jerusalem would be trampled by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” Psalm 102:16
Psalm 122:6…Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.
6. INSTANT COMMUNICATION IS FULFILLMENT OF SCRIPTURE.
Revelation 11:3; 7-10
7. IDENTIFICATION TECHNOLOGY IS THE FULFILLMENT OF SCRIPTURE.

WE LIVE IN DAYS OF DECEPTION –Matthew 24:4; Jeremiah 9:5
II Peter 3:4 indicates the attitude of many churches: “They will say, ‘Where is this coming? He promised?”
CONCLUSION: WHAT DO WE DO? WE SERVE THE LORD!
