Two things about family relationships:

All of us are affected by family relationships at some level.
Family relationships have been affected by the brokenness of our On the one hand, they can be incredibly wonderful; on the other hand, they can also be incredibly difficult.

THE FURTHER WE GET AWAY FROM THE CREATION IDEAL, THE MORE CONFUSED WE BECOME ABOUT WHO WE ARE.

Society works best when men fulfill their God-given role, and women fulfill their God-given assignment.

1. THE CREATION IDEAL. Genesis 2

God was active, not passive, in creation.

THE DESIGN: Ecclesiastes 4:12

THE CREATION OF MAN

Man was created to be responsible. Man was created to take the initiative. Man would find fulfillment in work. Man would bring order to his work. Man would create as His creator did.

Ephesians 5:4

MAN’S ADVICE:

-DON’T tell jokes that make your spouse look bad.

-DON’T tell things about your wife that play on their weaknesses.

-DON’T insult or belittle your spouse in public or private.

ADAM IS ENTRUSTED TO BE A GUARDIAN OF THE TRUTH.

The guardian of the command.

Genesis 2:16 – Adam is the communicator of the command.

ADAM IS CALLED TO LIVE IN RELATIONSHIP
A MAN IS CALLED TO SET THE STANDARD FOR THE HOME.
WHEN A MAN HAS A PURPOSE, HIS LIFE TAKES ON NEW MEANING.
MEN ARE AT THEIR BEST FIGHTING FOR AN IDEAL.
MEN ARE CREATED TO BRING ORDER OUT OF CHAOS.

LADIES: To deny your man the ability to embrace this side of his creation is to deny God’s passion in his life

2. THE FALL OF MAN. Genesis 3:1-7

Adam was SILENT during the garden, which was an open accountability structure.
Adam ABANDONS Truth -Why doesn’t Adam remind Eve of God’s command?
Adam allows Eve to act on her own spirituality. Adam blames Eve and moves farther from her.

THE PRESENT REALITY

All men are sons of Adam. Men have inherited both Adam’s creation design and Adam’s fallen nature.

Men were created to be active, not passive, but passivity pulls at the inner nature.

Ephesians 5:25-33

MEN ARE THE GUARDIANS OF TRUTH

Men are designed to live in allegiance and relationship to God.
Men are designed to be the spiritual leaders of their homes.

MEN ARE ORDERERS OF CHAOS

Men step into uncertainty and define
