“THE FOUR BOWLS.”
TEXT John 20:21-22
Being Baptized in the Holy Spirit refers to a dimension of God’s Spirit, not a denomination. It is the wind of the Spirit.
ANALOGY:
- 4 Bowls
- 3 filled with water
- 1 without water
- 4 Sponges
- One Plastic Bag, containing 1 sponge
John 7:37-38
ANALOGY MEANING:
- BOWL: The Realm of the Lord.
- WATER: The Holy Spirit.
- Sponges: People have a spiritual dimension.
- Plastic Bag: What separates people from God.
DESIGN: Sponges are designed to live in water. Likewise, people are designed to live in the presence of God
1. BOWL ONE: ATHIEST’S BOWL= A DRY SPONGE IN A DRY BOWL WITH NO WATER. Ps. 14:1
WHAT: There is no hope for life, there is no water =THERE IS NO GOD
Rev. 1:10-11
2. BOWL TWO: SOMEONE WHO DOESN’T KNOW JESUS.
WHAT: A dry sponge in a plastic bag in a bowl of water.
Is. 59:1-2; Acts 17:26-29; Eph. 2:1-2, 12
THE NATURAL CANNOT: Forgive sin, overcome the power of evil, do the impossible, overcome death, provide heaven, or regenerate society. The Supernatural Church is unlimited.
3. BOWL THREE: EVANGELICAL BOWL: A WET SPONGE IN A BOWL OF WATER.
Eph. 2:4-6, 13-14, 18-19
WHAT: The Sponge is alive. There is hope for life and eternity.
4. BOWL FOUR: SPIRIT-FILLED BOWL.
WHAT: A saturated sponge in a bowl of water, with the sponge rung out, then saturated again.
John 7:37-39 ; Luke 4:18
We want to be people of His presence who believe and practice the supernatural and miraculous ministry in the world.
