Precepts that Produce
“ENTRUSTED BY GOD”
Foundational Verse: Psalm 19:8-11; I Corinthians 4:1; I Peter 4:10
The blessings of God are available, but they are not automatic.
The anointing is available, but it is not automatic.
The precepts, principles, and truths of the word of God are inexhaustible in the benefit they will provide us.
HOW WE INTERPRET GOD’S PROMISES DETERMINES HOW BLESSED WE ARE. Matthew 7:24
I WORRY BECAUSE WE LIVE AT A TIME WHEN WE EXALT EMOTIONAL FEELINGS AND SOCIAL JUSTICE AT HIGHER WATERMARKS THAN THE WORD OF GOD.
We live in a world that wants to validate every inner feeling of man.
We live in a world where the love of self is exalted over our Love for God and the love for others. We live in a world where it is all about SELF.
-We live in an indescribable time where people are celebrated for actions of malice.
-We live in a time when lawlessness is candidly celebrated – If it conveniently aids our cause or our feeling.
POINT: Principles and precepts that disagree with the Lord’s truth are incongruent with establishing a Biblical moral center.
I live under this augmentation: “If God’s word declares a truth, then it is unmistakable how I should respond.”
If it is a cultural issue, then you can’t make a doctrine on something that is an expression of philosophy or an imprint of tradition.
-The Precepts of the Lord are exalted above culture, personal beliefs & personal preferences, personal opinions, family traditions, southern mentalities, & Christian nationalism.
-I am incredibly grateful to live in a free country, but nothing is greater than the word of God.
-I think we should steward what we have been given. I think we should be concerned about God’s nature. I am a sportsman, and I love the outdoors.
-They are not on the same level as mankind.
-God created His most incredible pinnacle on the 6th day of creation-Mankind
-I believe that we should strive for dignity and respect and treat everyone we meet with grace and humility.
The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart, and in keeping them, there is great reward. What are we trying to do? We are trying to accumulate the passion of God, the blessings of God, and the victories of serving our God.
- The principles, when honored, make compound blessings over time. Each principle that is honored positions us for God’s rewards. Each principle we violate robs us of the potential of those rewards.
- When we choose not to walk before the Lord, we are robbed of the blessings of peace, joy, and confidence because of misplaced priorities.
The precepts of the Lord are right, and in keeping them, there is great reward. Luke 12:42-44
1. PRECEPT -EVERY CHRISTIAN HAS AT LEAST ONE SPIRITUAL GIFT.
Romans 12:6-8
2. PRECEPT – GOD’S GIFTS ARE INTENDED TO BE USED IN SERVING OTHER PEOPLE.
3. PRECEPT- GOD IS THE SOURCE OF OUR GIFTS AND WE SHOULD STEWARD OUR GIFTS.
- We are DIRECTED to use our gifts as if God were there Himself.
- We are DIRECTED to steward our gifts from the Bible.
4. PRECEPT- 3 OBSTACLES OF AN UNFORGIVING SPIRIT.
- It will cause you to live in the past and to live in pain. II Timothy 3:2
- If we don’t forgive others, then your father will not forgive our transgressions.
- It will cause a negative Spirit.
- When you lose the attitude of gratitude. You let everything bother you. Mark 14:3-9
- When someone develops a spirit that is negative, every comment is critical.
- A critical spirit causes people to think every “no” is a hatred of my happiness.
- God wants us to enjoy life without a negative spirit.
- When we become critical, we become fearful.
The Fellowship of the Unashamed
“I’m part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have Holy Spirit power. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I’m a disciple of His. I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure. I’m finished and down with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals.
I no longer need prominence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don’t have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power.
My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my Guide is reliable, and my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won’t give up, shut up, or let up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and preached up for the cause of Christ. I am a disciple of Jesus. I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all I know, and work till He stops me. And when He comes for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me – my banner will be clear.”

The Author of this work was a Rwandan man in 1980 who was forced by his tribe to either renounce Christ or face certain death. He refused to renounce Christ and was killed on the spot. The night before, he had written the commitment “The Fellowship of the Unashamed,” which was found in his room.
