Pray – Resurrection/Joy Praying

 

On the night before Jesus died he had gathered his disciples in a room. During this time he spoke some of the most incredible words that have ever been written in the Bible. You can find these words in John 13 – 17. In these words that Jesus spoke, which covered a lot of ground, he mentions four times that he is giving his disciples and he is giving us the power to use his name when we pray.

 

The first mention is here; John 14:12  “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

 

“I will do it”… Jesus personally showing up when we ask in his name is a very powerful tool in our belt.

 

Today we are going to call this praying…resurrection praying that fills you with joy.

 

What is joy? Joy is a good feeling in the soul that is rooted in the greatness of Jesus because we know that Jesus is up to something. In other words, we can be so securely rooted in Jesus Christ that we have something called joy – A good feeling in the soul. A hope in the soul.

 

John 16:16 “A little while, and you will see me no longer; and again a little while, and you will see me.” 17 So some of his disciples said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, ‘A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me’; and, ‘because I am going to the Father’?”

 

18 So they were saying, “What does he mean by ‘a little while’? We do not know what he is talking about.” 19 Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them, “Is this what you are asking yourselves, what I meant by saying, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me’?

 

20 Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy. 21 When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.

 

22 So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. 23 In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

 

Jesus is telling them, “My resurrection is going to be so earthshaking that it will give you the kind of joy that no one will ever be able to take away from you again. Permanent Joy. Abiding joy. A good feeling in the soul.”

 

The resurrection establishes the name of Jesus and so resurrection praying is praying in the name of the risen one.

 

We are to pray resurrections prayers that bring joy.

 

The Bible portrays the resurrection as the event of the Bible.

It is the event that establishes Jesus.

It is the event that proves who Jesus is.

It is so big that if you could unproven it, then everything of Christianity falls apart.

It is the event that turns everything on its head.

It is the event that defeats all power – Secular and spiritual.

It is the event that demonstrates that Jesus is far above all rule and authority.

It is the event that demonstrates that Jesus is superior to all Dark powers of Satan or man.

It is the event that raises his name to be the name above all other names.

 

The name of Jesus is forever connected to resurrection power.

 

We are told that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Jesus Christ as Lord.

 

When we pray in the name of Jesus, we are praying in this resurrection power. We are not using a Magic Chant. We are not using a charm. We are calling for the resurrected Lord to come into a situation. And we are asking him to bring his resurrection power with him.

 

We are told that there is life in the name of Jesus. John 20: 31.

We are told there is forgiveness in the name of Jesus. Acts 2: 38.

There is restoration in the name of Jesus. Psalm 23: 3.

There is healing in the name of Jesus. Acts 3: 6.

There is strength in the name of Jesus. Mark 9: 39.

There is authority in the name of Jesus. Philippians 2: 10.

There is power in the name of Jesus. Psalm 106: 8.

There is love in the name of Jesus. 1 John 3: 23.

There is boldness in the name of Jesus. Acts 9: 27.

There is salvation in the name of Jesus. 1 Corinthians 1: 2.

There is deliverance in the name of Jesus. Acts 16: 18.

There is confidence in the Name of Jesus. Acts 21: 13.

There is unity in the name of Jesus. 1 Corinthians 1: 10.

There is justification in the name of Jesus. 1 Corinthians, 6: 11.

There is gratitude in the name of Jesus. Colossians 3: 17.

There is glory in the name of Jesus. 2 Thessalonians 1: 12.

 

The resurrection power of Jesus name brings joy.

 

John 16:23  Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

 

John 15:11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

 

John 17:13 But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

 

Joy is gladness in the soul.

Joy is anticipation.

Joy is expectation.

Joy is rooted in an unchanging condition that you are a child of God.

And that everything is working together for good.

And that God is for you.

And that resurrection power is unstoppable.

And that you are being provided for.

And you are being protected.

And you are in the palm of his hand.

 

God wants to fill you up.

He wants to fill you up with his spirit.

He wants to fill you up with his power.

He wants to fill you up with abundant life.

And he wants to fill you up with joy.

Orar – Resurrección/Gozo Orar

 

La noche antes de que Jesús muriera, había reunido a sus discípulos en una habitación. Durante este tiempo habló algunas de las palabras más increíbles que jamás se hayan escrito en la Biblia. Puedes encontrar estas palabras en Juan 13 – 17. En estas palabras que Jesús habló, que cubrieron mucho terreno, menciona cuatro veces que está dando a sus discípulos y nos está dando el poder de usar su nombre cuando oramos.

 

La primera mención está aquí; Juan 14:12 “De cierto, de cierto os digo que el que  cree en mí, también hará las obras que yo hago; y mayores obras que éstas hará, porque yo voy al Padre. 13 Todo lo que pidáis en mi nombre, esto haré, para que el Padre sea glorificado en el Hijo. 14 Si me pides algo en mi nombre, lo haré.

 

“Lo haré”… Jesús personalmente apareciendo cuando le pedimos en su nombre es una herramienta muy poderosa en nuestro cinturón.

 

Hoy vamos a llamar a esto oración… Oración de resurrección que te llena de gozo.

 

¿Qué es la alegría? El gozo es un buen sentimiento en el alma que está arraigado en la grandeza de Jesús porque sabemos que Jesús está tramando algo. En otras palabras, podemos estar tan firmemente arraigados en Jesucristo que tenemos algo llamado gozo – Un buen sentimiento en el alma. Una esperanza en el alma.

 

Juan 16:16 “Un poco de tiempo, y ya no me veréis; y otra vez un rato, y me verás”. 17 Entonces algunos de sus discípulos se dijeron unos a otros: “¿Qué es esto que nos dice: ‘Un poco de tiempo, y no me veréis, y otra vez un poco de tiempo, y me veréis’; y, ‘porque voy al Padre’?”

 

18 Entonces ellos decían: «¿Qué quiere decir con ‘un poco de tiempo’? No sabemos de qué está hablando”. 19 Jesús sabía que querían preguntarle, así que les dijo: “¿Es esto lo que os preguntáis a vosotros mismos, lo que quise decir al decir: ‘Un poco de tiempo y no me veréis, y otra vez un poco y me veréis’?

 

20 De cierto, de cierto os digo que lloraréis y os lamentaréis, pero el mundo se regocijará. Estarás triste, pero tu tristeza se convertirá en alegría. 21 Cuando una mujer está dando a luz, tiene tristeza porque ha llegado su hora, pero cuando ha dado a luz al bebé, ya no recuerda la angustia, por la alegría de que un ser humano haya nacido en el mundo.

 

22 Así también vosotros tenéis tristeza ahora, pero yo os veré de nuevo, y vuestros corazones se regocijarán, y nadie os quitará vuestro gozo. 23 En aquel día no me pedirás nada. De cierto, de cierto os digo que todo lo que pidáis al Padre en mi nombre, él os lo dará. 24 Hasta ahora no has pedido nada en mi nombre. Pide, y recibirás, que tu gozo sea completo.

 

Jesús les está diciendo: “Mi resurrección va a ser tan estremecedora que les dará el tipo de gozo que nadie podrá quitarles de nuevo. Alegría permanente. Alegría permanente. Una buena sensación en el alma”.

 

La resurrección establece el nombre de Jesús y, por lo tanto, orar por la resurrección es orar en el nombre del resucitado.

 

Debemos rezar oraciones de resurrección que traigan gozo.

 

La Biblia describe la resurrección como el evento de la Biblia.

Es el evento que establece a Jesús.

Es el evento que prueba quién es Jesús.

Es tan grande que si pudieras no probarlo, entonces todo el cristianismo se desmorona.

Es el evento que pone todo patas arriba.

Es el evento que derrota todo poder, secular y espiritual.

Es el evento que demuestra que Jesús está muy por encima de toda regla y autoridad.

Es el evento que demuestra que Jesús es superior a todos los poderes oscuros de Satanás o del hombre.

Es el evento que eleva su nombre a ser el nombre por encima de todos los demás nombres.

 

El nombre de Jesús está conectado para siempre con el poder de la resurrección.

 

Se nos dice que toda rodilla se doblará y toda lengua confesará a Jesucristo como Señor.

 

Cuando oramos en el nombre de Jesús, estamos orando en este poder de resurrección. No estamos usando un canto mágico. No estamos usando un encanto. Estamos pidiendo que el Señor resucitado entre en una situación. Y le estamos pidiendo que traiga consigo su poder de resurrección.

 

Se nos dice que hay vida en el nombre de Jesús. Juan 20: 31.

Se nos dice que hay perdón en el nombre de Jesús. Hechos 2: 38.

Hay restauración en el nombre de Jesús. Salmo 23: 3.

Hay sanidad en el nombre de Jesús. Hechos 3: 6.

Hay fuerza en el nombre de Jesús. Marcos 9: 39.

Hay autoridad en el nombre de Jesús. Filipenses 2: 10.

Hay poder en el nombre de Jesús. Salmo 106:8.

Hay amor en el nombre de Jesús. 1 Juan 3:23.

Hay audacia en el nombre de Jesús. Hechos 9: 27.

Hay salvación en el nombre de Jesús. 1 Corintios 1:2.

Hay liberación en el nombre de Jesús. Hechos 16: 18.

Hay confianza en el Nombre de Jesús. Hechos 21: 13.

Hay unidad en el nombre de Jesús. 1 Corintios 1:10.

Hay justificación en el nombre de Jesús. 1 Corintios, 6: 11.

Hay gratitud en el nombre de Jesús. Colosenses 3: 17.

Hay gloria en el nombre de Jesús. 2 Tesalonicenses 1: 12.

 

El poder de la resurrección del nombre de Jesús trae gozo.

 

Juan 16:23 De cierto, de cierto os digo que todo lo que pidáis al Padre en mi nombre, él os lo dará. 24 Hasta ahora no has pedido nada en mi nombre. Pide, y recibirás, que tu gozo sea completo.

 

Juan 15:11 Estas cosas os he hablado, para que mi gozo esté en vosotros, y vuestro gozo sea pleno.

 

Juan 17:13 Pero ahora vengo a vosotros, y estas cosas hablo en el mundo, para que mi gozo se cumpla en sí mismos.

 

La alegría es alegría en el alma.

La alegría es anticipación.

La alegría es expectativa.

El gozo está arraigado en una condición inmutable de que eres un hijo de Dios.

Y que todo está funcionando en conjunto para bien.

Y que Dios es para ti.

Y ese poder de resurrección es imparable.

Y que estás siendo provisto.

Y estás siendo protegido.

Y estás en la palma de su mano.

 

Dios quiere llenarte.

Él quiere llenarte con su espíritu.

Él quiere llenarte con su poder.

Él quiere llenarte de vida abundante.

Y quiere llenarte de alegría.

 

¡Veamos qué puede hacer Dios!
