Let’s see what God can do

In this series we’ve gone back to the beginning, to creation. We’ve also gone back to Jesus and looked at what he had to say. Jesus was the counterculture, he was a dissenter to the marriage and sexual practices of his day. For all who are interested in God’s original design – he draws us back to male and female, marriage, and a one flesh union that is emotional, physical, biological, spiritual.

King David.

Psalm 32 Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven,
    whose sin is covered.
2 Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity,
    and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

3 For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away
    through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me;
    my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Selah

5 I acknowledged my sin to you,
    and I did not cover my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
    and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah

6 Therefore let everyone who is godly
    offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found;
surely in the rush of great waters,
    they shall not reach him.
7 You are a hiding place for me;
    you preserve me from trouble;
    you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah

8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
    I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
9 Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding,
    which must be curbed with bit and bridle,
    or it will not stay near you.

10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked,
    but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord.
11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous,
    and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!

Let’s take this apart…

Twice David uses the word blessed. “blessed is the forgiven, blessed is the one whose sin is forgotten.” Blessed is a state of freedom.

Here are a few diagnostic questions that may help you Realize if there’s something that needs your attention.

1. Do you have an underlying sense of frustration with other people?

2. Have you been avoiding certain people in your life?

3. Do you have a tendency to be critical of others sins?

Look at the trilogy of words that David uses when he wants to return to the blessed state…

He talks about transgressions which can be forgiven.

He talks about sin that can be covered.

He talks about iniquity which no longer will count against us.

Now is the time to receive this offer.

Veamos lo que Dios puede hacer

En esta serie hemos vuelto al principio, a la creación. También hemos vuelto a Jesús y hemos visto lo que tenía que decir. Jesús era la contracultura, era un disidente al matrimonio y las prácticas sexuales de su época. Salmo 32 Bienaventurado aquel cuya transgresión es perdonada,
    cuyo pecado está cubierto.
2 Bienaventurado el hombre contra quien el Señor no cuenta ninguna iniquidad,
    y en cuyo espíritu no hay engaño.

3 Porque cuando guardé silencio, mis huesos se desperdiciaron
    a través de mis gemidos durante todo el día.
4 Porque día y noche tu mano pesaba sobre mí;
    mi fuerza se agotó como por el calor del verano. Selah

5 Te reconocí mi pecado,
    y no cubrí mi iniquidad;
Le dije: “Confesaré mis transgresiones al Señor”,
    y perdonaste la iniquidad de mi pecado. Selah

6 Por lo tanto, deja que todos los que son piadosos
    te ofrezcan oración en un momento en que puedas ser encontrado;
seguramente en la avalancha de grandes aguas,
    no lo alcanzarán.

Vamos a desmontar esto…

4 Durante el día y la noche tu mano estaba pesada sobre mí; mi fuerza se agotó como por el calor del verano. Selah

5 Te reconocí mi pecado, y no cubrí mi iniquidad; Le dije: “Confesaré mis transgresiones al Señor”, y perdonaste la iniquidad de mi pecado. Selah

Dos veces David usa la palabra bendito. “bendito es el perdonado, bendito es aquel cuyo pecado es olvidado.” Bendito es un estado de libertad.

Aquí hay algunas preguntas de diagnóstico que pueden ayudarlo a darse cuenta si hay algo que necesita su atención.

1. ¿Tienes una sensación subyacente de frustración con otras personas?

2. ¿Has estado evitando a ciertas personas en tu vida?

3. ¿Tienes una tendencia a ser crítico con los pecados de los demás?

Mira la trilogía de palabras que David usa cuando quiere regresar al estado bendito…

Habla de transgresiones que pueden ser perdonadas.

Él habla acerca del pecado que puede ser cubierto.

Habla de iniquidad que ya no contará contra nosotros.

Ahora es el momento de recibir esta oferta.
