Come and See

John 1:43-51, Mark 2:13-17

Our goal for today: Help you see the value of inviting your “one” to come and see what it means to be a follower of Jesus as they meet your family of faith.

John 1:43-45
Real faith creates a passion to share Jesus with those you love.
John 1:46
We all want to be invited.

John 1:47-51
We need to invite our friends to join us.
They are saying yes because of the relationship you have developed.

How can we apply this example at Park Hill?
1. Passion – Spirit filled love for the Lord and others.
2. Friendship – Build intentional connections with the unchurched.
3. Willing – Do more than suggest attendance, invite them to join with you.

Mark 2:13-14
Jesus modeled an invitational model of discipleship. Come with me.

Mark 2:15
Levi had passion for the Lord and loved his friends enough to invite them to come and see.

Mark 2:16-17
There is nothing winsome, warm, and attractive about religion.
Religion excludes while Jesus Christ welcomes.

Take-home points from this message:
1. If you love the Lord, let it show.
2. Ask God to help you make new unchurched friends.
3. Try it out. Ask someone to come and see as your guest.
