Made Clean
February 8, 2026
Acts 10:1-48
The Big Idea for Today:
“Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.” – Acts 10:15
NIV
Acts 10:4-8 – Cornelius was a man of faith whose leadership led
others to the Lord. The Lord called Cornelius to take a step of faith
without knowing the end goal.
Acts 10:11-16 – The Apostle Peter had a vision that shook him and
left him confused.
Acts 10:25-28 – Cornelius and his household were ready for the
Lord to move. Peter finally understood what the Lord was teaching.
Acts 10:34-43 – The Lord moved in Peter, in Cornelius, and in the
eternal family of faith.
The point is made clear in Peter’s summary statement found in Acts 10:34-35, “God does not show favoritism 35 but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.”
Acts 10:44-48 – What God has done for you through the work of
the cross and in the gift of his Spirit is done. Those whom the Lord
makes clean are clean!
NEXT WEEK:
On Feb. 15, we will meet as a church and prayerfully consider the
plan that the Lord has laid before us as his people. Make plans to
be in church for this Vision Sunday message from Ryan Laden.
On March 22, we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper (Communion) and
begin a new series of messages aimed at helping us share our
faith and invite others into a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
