Shaping Our Hearts

Big Idea:

The Lord is at work, shaping the hearts of who desire to grow and mature

Proverbs 4:20-23

1. We need to listen closely to the message of God’s word.

2. We need to embrace all of God’s word.

3. The message of God’s word is for our good.

Proverbs 4:23 NIV

“Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”

Three ways we can do the work of guarding our hearts:

1. Priority

Deuteronomy 4:9 – Join with others so that we do not slip.

2. Protection

Proverbs 4:24-27 – Give careful thought to your ways and words.

3. Provision

Luke 6:43-45 – We are not trapped in a loop of failure. The Lord is at work in us and will lead us into victory as we submit to his leadership.
