Finding Focus

Acts 6:1-7

Acts 6:1, James 1:27, 2:16-17Our faith must be exercised if it is to be of any real value to others. But if these good ideas cloud our mission, they often bring confusion and division.
Acts 1:8If the church veers off course, it can get lost in a sea of good while missing the great mission of being a witness for Jesus Christ. It is good to revisit the clear and compelling mission given to the church by Jesus Christ.
Acts 6:2-4The dangers of neglecting the ministry of the Word are real and need to be addressed, even if it makes us uncomfortable.
Acts 6:5-6The solution to our lack of focus and clarity can be found in our decision to step forward and take hold of the ministry to which the Lord is calling us.
Acts 6:7The Lord wants to bless those who take hold of their calling to be witnesses to Christ Jesus. The more we embrace our calling to be witnesses, the more we will find joy in his service.
