Acts 2:42-47
1 Corinthians 1:2-3
The Ekklesia (Greek term we translate as church) was committed
to the local believers gathered in one place as well as
connected to the believers spread around the known world.
Essential to the formation of the Ekklesia is a shared commitment
and devotion.

We can see several examples of devotion at work in the early
church.
1. Learning and Growing – Acts 2:42-43
2. Exercised Generosity – Acts 2:44-45, Galatians 6:9-10
3. Devotion to one another – Acts 2:46-47
4. Hospitality – Romans 12:10-13

The Lord is calling us to identify areas of passivity in our pursuit
of a maturing and deepening faith. We cannot expect to
see the Lord bring blessing until we choose to get active.
