September 7, 2025

Part 1 – The Shepherd
John 21:15-17, 1 Peter 5:1-4
The resurrected Christ called Peter and those like him, to accept their purpose as shepherds and pastors of the Body of Christ.

Functions of the shepherd:
• Provide opportunities for growth and health.
• Look for threats on the horizon.
• Get the herd/flock moving the right direction.
• Encourage the resistant and complacent.

Part Two – Direction from our Shepherd/Pastor

Our purpose: Who are we?
A healthy, growing, and vibrant family of faith.
Healthy – Biblical, Honest, Connected
Growing – Deep and Wide
Vibrant – Fruit Overflowing

Our mission: What are we about?
Attracting and retaining young families.

Our strategy: How will we get there?
1. Families – Focus on reaching and resourcing the whole family.
2. Outreach – Change of mindset: Mission Park Hill.
3. Environment – Refresh our hearts and facilities.

What is next? Be willing to serve, rise to the occasion, and be generous to the Lord.
