All Who Call

April 20, 2025

Romans 10:13

Romans 10:13 says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Today we are going to hear three examples of this truth in action.

#1 – Luke 23:39-43 – On the cross
In this interaction, there are two very different responses to Jesus.

   (1) Join the crowd – The first man on the cross responded with cynicism and was hardhearted toward the Lord.

   (2) Call on the Lord – The second man rejected cynicism and instead owned his mess and turned by faith to Jesus for help. Jesus Christ received this man’s openhearted response.

#2 – Matthew 28:1-10 – At the tomb
Here we see the way the women at the tomb chose to respond to the events of the empty tomb with joy, worship, and obedience to the Lord.

Matthew 28:11-15
The response of the women shines all that much brighter when compared to the way the other people in this scene chose to respond to the same events.

These men chose to accept and tell lies rather than receive the truth of Jesus Christ’s true identity and purpose.

#3 – Romans 10:9-13 – Here and now

Will you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, trusting in his completed work done for you through the cross and the empty tomb?
