The Goodness of God

We have all heard the three words – God is good. Simple words but they accurately tell us about the character of God. Goodness is an attribute of God. The Bible presents this truth over and over again.

Psalm 34:8

“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.”

Psalm 107:8-9

“Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love (goodness) and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.”

Psalm 119:68

“You are good, and what you do is good; teach me your decrees.”

Note the following:

The goodness of God is found in the way He provides for us.

The goodness of God is found in the way He protects us.

The goodness of God is found in the way He is patient with us.
