Come and Remember

1 Corinthians 11:23-29

“The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members of the church, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.” (The Baptist Faith and Message, p. 14)

Christians have gathered for centuries in churches, homes, catacombs, prison cells and a myriad of other places to observe the Lord’s Supper. We gather today for the purpose of remembering Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary.

What should we do in preparation for participating in the Lord’s Supper?

We should look backward.

We should look upward.

We should look forward.

We should look inward.
