How Now Shall We Live?

1 Peter 4:7-11

How do you live your life? What are you focused on each day? Where does most of your time and money go? Are you happy with your life? Do you ever think about more than the present?

In chapter 4, Peter affirms the nearness of the end of all things. The Bible makes clear this world will not go on forever. The incarnation of God in Christ was the climax of the ages, and there is a true sense in which everybody who has lived since that momentous event has lived in the last days. Peter wrote this letter to give encouragement to God’s people in their trials. He urged them to live faithfully to God while in these days.

Note the following:
Live a life of discipline and prayer – (1 Peter 4:7)

Love one another intensely – (1 Peter 4:8)

Practice hospitality – (1 Peter 4:9)

Use individual gifts to serve one another – (1 Peter 4:10-11)
