Risen

John 20:1-18

Introduction

Happy Easter! I’m thankful you are in worship.

All across the globe today Christians are joining together and declaring that Jesus is risen! He is risen indeed. We have something and someone to celebrate.

The resurrection of Jesus is a big deal. All four gospel writers mention the resurrection. The fact that Jesus is risen from the dead gave the early church confidence for living. Early preaching centered on the cross and the risen Savior.

Here’s what I know. We all need a sense of hope… something to look forward to. Jesus came to give you hope…living hope.
