A Wedding Feast

John 2:1-11

Introduction

Week before last we began a five-part message series titled: “Encounters with Jesus.”  In the gospel of John we find Jesus meeting all kinds of people. Jesus was not a recluse. He actively sought out conversations and experiences with people of his day.

In John 2, we find the record of Jesus showing up at a wedding in the town of Cana.  Here he performs his first miracle. This is a “sign” miracle. When Jesus turned water into wine at this wedding he not only helped solved a
crisis … he revealed something about Himself.
