Directional signs are posted alongside highways. When you cook a meal for the first time you usually follow the directions given in a recipe. Sometimes grandparents are known for passing down wisdom and directions to their grandchildren.
God’s Word provides directions for life. I like what I heard someone say years ago about the Bible, B.I.B.L.E. – Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. The Bible is truth. It helps guide us and instruct us as we navigate life.
The Old Testament Proverbs are known for the wisdom they impart. One of the classic passages in the book is Proverbs 3:5-6.
(5) Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (6) in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
