Galatians 5:1-6 – Independence

Jesus offers a kind of freedom.

We should not our freedom in Jesus.

Living in grace, rather than legalism, us.

We are to others.

Living in Jesus’ freedom us to Him and others. 

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

Head 

  • Read Galatians 5:1-6. What stands out to you from this passage?
  • What are some other versions of freedom you see in your life or the world around you?

Heart

  • Share or describe a time in your life when a weight or burden was lifted from you. How did that make you feel and live differently afterwards?
  • How does the concept of living in grace, rather than legalism, speak to you in your current context?

Hands

  • Standing firm and not forfeiting our freedom in Jesus takes effort and intentionality. What are some tangible ways you can do so in your everyday life?
  • How can you love and free others from the burden of their own “freedom” this week?
