Generations – Week 6

Revelation 12:10-12

Accusations divide people and kill intergenerational relationships. (v. 10)

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.          (John 10:10, NIV)

Three Kinds of Accusations

  1. Self-Accusation which leads to Deception (1 John 3:20)
  2. Others’ Accusations which leads to Exclusion (Romans 2:1)
  3. Kingdom of this World Accusations which leads to Preservation (1 John 2:15-17)

Jesus Overcomes (v. 11)

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.” (John 18:36, ESV)

  1. Grace in Jesus is given and received
  2. Stories of God’s grace through us is given and received

Fight the Good Fight (v. 12)

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:12)
