A Journey With The Book of Romans

Part 1: The Revelation – “Convicted by the Cross”

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17

INTRODUCTION

Get ready to take a powerful journey through one of the most life-changing books in the Bible. The Book of Romans is more than a letter—it’s a deep, clear, and honest look at what it really means to follow Jesus. The Apostle Paul wrote Romans to believers in Rome. In chapter 1, Paul addresses the need for salvation, emphasizing God’s wrath against unrighteousness and the power of the gospel to save. Theme: The Need for the Gospel, and the Key Word throughout this book is: Sin

THE BOOK OF ROMANS – A DEEPER DIVE

Rome isn’t just another city. It’s the capital of the empire. The heartbeat of politics, culture, and philosophy. And though Paul didn’t start the church there, he longs to visit and encourage believers trying to follow Jesus in one of the most powerful and hostile places in the world.

Salvation Is the Start of a Relationship

+ Click to add your own note

Salvation is about more than what happens when we die. It’s about experiencing a full life with God here and now.

When we decide to follow Jesus, we acknowledge that our way no longer works. That we’re done flying solo, and we’re giving Jesus control.

From that moment on, we’re never alone. Jesus is the friend who never leaves us or forsakes us. He gives us His Spirit to guide us and access to God, who loves and cares for us.

The Cross doesn’t shame us; it shows us. It reveals where we fall short but also points us to a God who meets us in our weakness and calls us righteous through faith. This is a journey, and we are on the road together!
