STAY FOCUSED Pt.3 To Do or Not to Do! That is the Question
Philippians 4:8 (AMP)
“For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].”
(NKJV) “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things”.
📍 INTRODUCTION
Spiritual Focus Defined:
Spiritual focus is the disciplined practice of centering our thoughts, emotions, and decisions on God’s Word and will. It is maintaining a God-first lens through which we view distractions, decisions, and desires. Doing what the situation calls for or not doing what it wants us to do will ultimately determine our focus.
Last week in Next Level Focus (Proverbs 16:9), we learned that God orders our steps when we yield our plans to Him. Focus for the next level meant aligning our vision with God’s direction. This week, we build on that truth—because where God is taking us next will require relentless focus in the now.
Distractions are destiny thieves. Just like Peter walking on water (Matthew 14:28-31), the moment we take our eyes off Jesus, we begin to sink. Staying focused safeguards our faith, protects our peace, and positions us for purpose.
