The Power of Sowing & Reaping

Galatians 6:7-10

We are making choices today & tomorrow that will reap the fruit of it in days, months, and years to come. It is demonstrated throughout scripture the principles, the practice, the results, the consequences the fruit of sowing and reaping.

In this study I want to look at The Principle, The Program, The Promise for this promise from God.

  1. The Principle- You Reap What You Sow vs.7

      1. Don’t let anybody trick you
      2. The enemy wants to steal, kill & destroy
        1. It’s not going to change
        2. You don’t have to do this, nor apply this in your life
        3. Don’t be deceived into thinking that it doesn’t matter
    2. God is not mocked

      1. He will not be laughed at as though there’s no truth or no power behind his word and promise
      2. Whatever you sow, you will reap
        1. No farmer goes out into the field and plants corn and then looks for cotton
        2. You are not going to plant one thing and get another. You are going to get whatever you sow.
    3. It is the what of the circumstance (whatever you sow)

        1. If you sow love, you’ll get love
        2. If you sow kindness, you will reap kindness
        3. If you sow evil, wicked, and meanness its what you’re going to reap
        4. Please don’t be surprised by how people might be treating you; they’re treating you based on what you’ve already planted
        5. If we make the right decisions and go down the right path, we will get what we sow.

      2. People today look for a harvest but haven’t planted anything

        1. Take notice of what you are sowing everyday
          1. In your relationships

          2. In Your Financial Management: Tithes & Offerings

          3. In The Kingdom

          4. In Regards to Your Future

        2. Don’t be deceived God sees what you are doing, and where you are going
        3. The Principle is: What Are You Sowing?
  2. The Program- You Reap Where You Sow vs.8

    1. Two Places you can sow: In The Flesh or On the Spirit

      1. God is challenging us to take an examination of where we are planting
      2. Are we focused on fleshly things, or are we focused on spiritual things?

      3. You will never get a harvest from the spirit realm if you never make a plant in the spiritual realm
        1. You will never get victory if you never put the time or effort into God’s Plan

    2. God will Give You an opportunity to shift where you’ve been planting

      1. Life is so much better on the spiritual side than the fleshly
      2. When you’re under the direction of the Holy Spirit and walk in His Anointing, He opens up doors that you didn’t even ask to open
      3. He will fight battles for you that you didn’t even know you were in
      4. Gives you hope
      5. Gives you victory
      6. Gives you answers
      7. He gives you deliverance from the spirit realm
    3. The Flesh: Doing the things that satisfy your fleshly desires

      1. Nurture the flesh by how you act: 1 John 2:16 Lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life
      2. Talk to Your Flesh- Leaning to your understanding
      3. Serving Your Flesh
    4. If we put half as much energy in the spirit as we do our flesh, we would all be much better
      1. That’s our challenge today- Evaluate where you are sowing
    5. The Reaping:

      1. The Flesh- We will reap corruption

        1. It will decay
        2. It will die
        3. It will fade away
      2. The Spirit- Reap something Everlasting

        2. Life that lives and goes beyond (vibrancy, ability to walk with God)
        3. Everlasting life through Jesus Christ-

          1. Joy in the midst of
          2. Provision will always be made
          3. Protection in the valley
      3. You will Reap where you Sow
        1. If you sow a thought, you will reap an act
        2. If you sow an act, you will reap a habit
        3. If you sow a habit, you will reap a lifestyle
        4. If you sow a lifestyle, you will reap a destiny
        5. If you sow a righteous act, you will reap a righteous act
        6. Evaluate Where you are sowing.
  3. The Promise- Reaping Requires Patience vs. 9-10

    1. Let Us Not Get Worn Out

      1. Don’t get frustrated
      2. Don’t be defeated
      3. Don’t grow weary while doing good
        1. Hang in there. Keep doing good
    2. You shall reap, but you can’t faint

      1. Many times, we miss out on the promise that God has for us because it doesn’t happen as quickly as we want

        1. When God doesn’t respond as quickly as we want, we get frustrated, worried, and tired
        2. Satan tempts us to resort back and sow in our flesh

    3. How do I not grow weary

      1. Says Keep Doing Good
        1. Sow in Good Soil
        2. Walk in a Good Way
        3. Sow in the Spirit Realm
      2. In Due Season
        1. Your Due Season is about to COME DO!
        2. If you don’t lose heart
          1. Maintain the faith
          2. Still believe God
          3. Still have the confidence that you serve a Mighty God
          4. Still know He sees you and has your back
        3. Psalm 24:7 Lift up your heads oh ye gates
          1. He’s going to cause you to win
          2. He’s going to fight your battle
          3. He’s going to cause you to be more than a conqueror
          4. Lift Up Your Head & Have Hope You are Going to Reap
        4. As We Have Opportunities
          1. The seeds I am planting today might take months
          2. Keep on doing good
          3. Keep on giving God the Praise
          4. Keep on Pleasing God
    4. God Has Given Us an Opportunity and a Choice

      2. You control the choice, God controls the harvest
        1. What you sow you will reap
        2. Wait I say on the Lord
