Faith for Finances Pt.2 Everything We Have Belongs to God
Psalms 24:1-10
Theme: Everything We Have Belongs to God, To Be Used By God, For His Glory
Our Confession of faith should be this. Everything we have belongs to you, God, to be used by you and for your glory. We live in a society that really promotes the arrogance that comes around finances meaning it’s my money I can do what I want to do with it. Nobody can tell me what to do, but that’s not what God calls his people to live by. Unfortunately, finances are one of the breakdowns of all relationships, from marital issues to family issues, to sibling issues, to friend issues, to business issues. Still, the word says in Psalms 24:1, the earth is the Lord and all that’s in it, and all of those who live in it. When we realize that we may do the work but all the glory goes straight to God, and when we move out of the way and put him back where he belongs, and let him be head over our finances, head of our families, head of our marriage, we will truly see and live in the goodness of the land. Psalms 24 is an enthronement song, which means that the Psalm is about the people of God putting God where he belongs in our lives, first and foremost. David himself, being king, was saying God, I put you as king. Everything I have is yours, and if David and his position can understand that God was king and everything was his, we have to do too. We’re just mere managers. God, everything belongs to you. So what do you want us to do with our money, with our time, with all the things?

- Supporting Scripture: Romans 4:19-22 (Abraham’s faith)
Explanation: Faith and persuasion in God’s promises are foundational. Just as Abraham was fully persuaded that God had power to do what He promised, we must be persuaded that everything belongs to God and trust Him completely.

Prayer Declaration for You
Father, we thank you for being yours today. Father, we thank you, and we ask, Lord, that you turn our hearts toward you. God that you may sit on the throne of God and call our finances back to you. Lord, we want everything that we touch to be blessed, and we want our families to be blessed, but God starts with the motive of the heart, so God, today, we say that all that we have is yours. Father, as Matthew 6:21 says where our treasure is, that’s where our heart will be, Lord, our heart is with you, and we know God that if we can trust you with our finances, you can trust us with true riches. So, God, we stand on your word and believe that everything the Kingdom has is ours because you are ours. We love you, and we thank you in Jesus name. Amen
