LIVING ON AND IN PURPOSE
PART III: THE RIGHT PLACE
John 21: 15-22 (NKJV)
I. INTRODUCTION
Be where you need to be. God is doing these things for a reason. Many things we go through there is a plan from God.
II. OUR LOCATION MATTERS
Place is very important to God. The perspective of Purpose matters where your placed.
Acts 17:27-29 27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ 29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising.
III. YOU ARE PLANTED WITH PURPOSE
When you understand like a tree is planted its planted strategically so it can produce. Get planted and nurtured where you can grow. From where you are there is a producing of fruit that don’t lie.
Jeremiah 15:5-8 5 Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man
And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord. 6 For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited. 7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. 8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.
Here is my father Glorified when you bare much fruit
IV. HOW DOES EXPANSION COME AT THE RIGHT TIME?
A. The Right Place Wrong Position
B. Expansion Comes to Those God Can Trust
Jabez
1 Chronicles 4:9-10 9 Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” 10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.
God looks at what we do with little first. God wants to make sure your a good steward over what he puts you over.
Matthew 25:21
21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
V. PROVISION IN YOUR PROPER POSITION
The importance of being at the right place
1 Kings 17:1-4
1 And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.” 2 Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 3 “Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. 4 And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”
1 Kings 17:5-6
5 So he went and did according to the word of the Lord, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. 6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook. 7 And it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
