Come Away – The Invitation

Mark 6:12-13 CSB – So they went out and preached that people should repent. They drove out many demons, anointed many sick people with oil and healed them.

Mark 6:30-32 CSB – The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all that they had done and taught. He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a remote place and rest for a while.” For many people were coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat. So they went away in the boat by themselves to a remote place,

THE KEY: In the middle of the good things and the hard things, don’t miss the invitation into the thing.

God is looking for a people that will prioritize time Him in a world full of doing things Him.

Jeremiah 31:25 NIV – “I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.”

Refreshing doesn’t come from just disconnecting from the world, it comes from with Jesus.

Psalm 126:3 NLT – Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy!

Ecclesiastes 3:4 CSB – a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance;

Colossians 3:2 CSB – Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Mark 4:34 CSB – He did not speak to them without a parable. Privately, however, he explained everything to his own disciples.

THERE IS AN INVITATION BEFORE US

FIVE PRACTICAL WAYS TO COME AWAY WITH GOD

1. Embrace the of solitude.

Solitude is separation with the purpose of with God.

2. Prioritize time with God.

3. Let the Holy Spirit .

Plan the , surrender the .

Things will continue to be the same until we change things on our part and allow the Holy Spirit to change everything else in us.
