ABIDE PART 4 – RESEMBLE

John 15:9-17 CSB – “As the Father has loved me, I have also loved you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commands you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. This is my command: Love one another as I have loved you.  No one has greater love than this: to lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. I do not call you servants anymore, because a servant doesn’t know what his master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have heard from my Father. You did not choose me, but I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give you. This is what I command you: Love one another.

1. AS THE FATHER HAS ME…

2. I ALSO HAVE YOU. ABIDE IN MY .

3. IF YOU MY COMMANDMENTS, YOU WILL IN MY LOVE, JUST AS I HAVE KEPT MY FATHER’S COMMANDMENTS AND IN HIS LOVE.

4. THIS IS MY COMMAND: AS I HAVE LOVED YOU.

1 John 2:9-10 NIV – Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.

1 John 3:14-15 NIV – We know that we have passed from death to life because we love our brothers and sisters. The one who does not love remains in death. Everyone who hates his brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.

Mathew 24:9-14 NLT – Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.

5. GREATER LOVE HAS NO ONE THAN THIS, THAT SOMEONE FOR HIS FRIENDS.

1 John 3:16-18 ESV – By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

6. YOU ARE MY IF YOU DO WHAT I YOU.

7. YOU DID NOT CHOOSE ME, BUT I YOU AND YOU THAT YOU SHOULD GO AND AND THAT YOUR FRUIT SHOULD .
