IT’S COMPLICATED | PART 4 – HANDLING CONFLICT

Romans 12:1-2 (NLT) Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

FOUR CAUSES OF CONFLICT

1.  Poor .

Proverbs 21:23 (The Message) Watch your words and hold your tongue; you’ll save yourself a lot of grief.Psalm 141:3 (NIV) Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips.

2.  Unfulfilled .

Proverbs 13:12 (NIV) Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.James 4:1-2 (NIV) What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You want something but don’t get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight.  You do not have because you do not ask God.

3.  Despising .

Mark 3:25 (NIV) If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

HANDLING CONFLICT GOD’S WAY

My dear, dear friends, if God loved us like this, we certainly ought to love each other.
