LIVING LEGACY | “Why, When, Where, How?

P. Rhett Barden

Legacy: Where lives on. all of my life to something that will outlive me.The ultimate purpose of my life is to live a life.A life not lived for others is not a life.” – Mother TeresaProverbs 11:25 (NIV) A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.James 4:6 (NLT) …As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.Matthew 20:28 (NIV) … Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve,Galatians 6:7–10 (NLT) Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.Titus 1:16 (NIV) They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.Titus 3:1 (NIV) Remind the people… to be ready to do whatever is good.

Titus 3:8 (NIV)… I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.Ephesians 2:9 (NLT) Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

Ephesians 2:8 (NLT) God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
