TITLE: Uncomfortable Conversations
TEXT: Luke 11:37-54

In Luke 11, Jesus is invited to dine with those who saw themselves as the most pure and holy expression of their faith. What Jesus quickly exposed was that their faith was a performative religion that hid the disease in their hearts and did damage to those who were the object of their criticism. The gloves are off in this passage, but this uncomfortable conversation revealed the type of authentic faith that Jesus wants all of us to have.
