Ephesians 6:21-24

21 Tychicus, the dear brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you everything, so that you also may know how I am and what I am doing. 22 I am sending him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are, and that he may encourage you. 23 Peace to the brothers and sisters, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.

    1. Matthew 6:1-4
      1. 1 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
    2. Colossians 3:23
      1. 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
    3. Hebrews 6:10
      1. 10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
  2. are you serving?
    1. 1 Corinthians 10:31
      1. So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
    2. Matthew 23:5-6
      1. 5 “Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; 6 they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues;
    3. Proverbs 19:21
      1. Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
  3. are you serving?
    1. Philippians 2:3-8
      1. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!
    2. 1 Peter 5:5b-7
      1. 5 All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
    3. Psalm 149:4
      1. For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.

God’s desire for you and for His church:

John 17:20-23

20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
