Unashamed of Your Testimony
May 27, 2023 / Pastor Ty Tamasaka“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
(Acts 1:8 NIV)
My is for His !
“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” (Rev. 12:11 NIV)
Your testimony reminds you and of the power of God in your life.
Your testimony reminds of the authority you have over him.
- Keep it BRIEF – Be able to tell your story in 45-60 seconds
- Keep it CLEAR – Stick to one key point.
- Keep it SIMPLE – Avoid “Christianese” talk.
- Keep it HUMBLE – Don’t appear “holier than thou.”
3 Parts of a Clear Testimony
I … (What life was like before you knew Jesus?)
Then … (What made you decide to follow Jesus?)
Since … (What has happened since that time?)
Your Assignment…
If you are a Jesus-follower – Develop your testimony and share it with someone.
If you are not a Jesus-follower – Ask someone to share their testimony with you.
