Teach Us To Pray “Praying Our Confession and Repentance”

“…and My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chron. 7:14 NASB)

IF … 1. and My people who are called by My name humble themselves, “Then do this, my son, and save yourself: Since you have come into the hand of your neighbor, Go, humble yourself, and be urgent with your neighbor to free yourself.” (Prov. 6:3) (Parental counsel)

2. and “Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from evil.” (Matt. 6:9-13)

3. and My face, “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.” (Matt. 6:33)

4. and from their wicked ways, “Men, why are you doing these things? We are also men, of the same nature as you, preaching the gospel to you, to turn from these useless things to a living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything that is in them.” (Acts 14:15) “And it is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of fathers back to their children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” (Luke 1:17)

THEN …

1. then I will from heaven, “The Lord has heard my pleading; The Lord receives my prayer.” (Ps. 6:9)

2. and I will their sin “so that while seeing they may see, and not perceive, and while hearing, they may hear and not understand, otherwise they might return, and it would be forgiven them.” (Mark 4:12)

3. and will their land. “He sent His word and healed them, And saved them from their destruction.” (Ps. 107:20)
