Through the Eyes of Jesus

March 26, 2022 / Pastor John Tilton

  1. See as Jesus Sees

“The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:31)

“But the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.’” (1 Sam. 16:7)

Be Careful Not to Pre-judge People

The JESUS Perspective!

  1. See as

P!

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by and with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” (Phil. 4:6)

P!

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” (Jas. 1:2-4)

T!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”

(Prov. 3:5-6)

  1. See and

“…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He called you, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints.” (Eph. 1:17-18)

  • Harvests do not self-reap … but they do self-destruct if not reaped!
  • Get in the game – Get on the field!
  • It’s all hands-on deck!

“Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.’” (Matt. 9:37-38)

“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” (Matt. 28:18-20)
