“A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouths of fools pour out folly. The eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.”

(Prov. 15:1-4)

1. Choose Over .

“A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” (Prov. 15:1)

“Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” (Jas. 1:19-20)

2. Tame the Tongue for or

“The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouths of fools pour out folly.” (Prov. 15:2)

3. God All – We Will What We .

“The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.” (Prov. 15:3)

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” (Gal. 6:7)

4. Always Rather Than .

“A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.” (Prov. 15:4)

“A good friend will tell you what you want to hear; a GREAT friend will tell you what you need to hear.”

“Look at the ships also: though they are so large andare driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. So also, the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!” (Jas. 3:4-5)
