The Good Shepherd | Perfect Love – Psalm 23:2

Psalm 23:1-2 “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.”

PERFECT LOVE – Sheep need love.

1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.”

PROTECTION – Sheep need security.

Psalm 91:14-15 “Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.”

PROVIDE FAITHFULLY – Sheep need food.

Matthew 6:25 “For this reason, I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?”

PLAN – Sheep need direction.

Ezekiel 34:26 “I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. And I will cause showers to come down in their season; they will be showers of blessing.”

PRIDEFUL WILL – Sheep need to submit.

1 Peter 5:6-7 “Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.”

PROBLEMS–Sheep need to be rescued.

Psalm 6:4 “Return, O LORD, rescue my soul; Save me because of Your lovingkindness.”

PESTILENT LIFESTYLE – Sheep need cleaning.

1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
