Make Central KY the hardest place in the world to go to hell from.

7 Key Truths that Encourage Us to Share the Gospel:
1. To save lost souls is the most worthwhile work we can invest our lives in.

John 1:45a “Philip found Nathanael,”

Charles Spurgeon “Even if I were utterly selfish and had no care for anything but my own happiness, I would choose, if I might, to be a soul-winner.”

David Brainerd “I cared not where or how I lived, or what hardships I went through, so long as I could but win souls for Christ.”

2. New converts make great soul winners.

John 1:45 Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

3. Our testimony is a powerful tool in helping others to put their faith in Jesus.

1 Corinthians 1:21
“For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.”

John 1:45 “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

3 Components of an Effective Testimony:

  1. Be Informal.
  2. Be Informed.
  3. Be Infectious.

4. If you have questions (or doubts) come and see for yourself.

John 1:46. “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked. “Come and see,” said Philip.

The Least Likely, are More Likely, than You Might Think.

John 4:39 “Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”

Jesus saw people who were lost but He never met a lost cause.

5. The Lord already knows all about those we hope to introduce to Jesus.

John 1:47-48
“When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” 48 “How do you know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.”

Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Francis Dixon “Soul-winning work is not primarily man’s work but the Lord’s, and He does that through us, His servants.”

6. It’s truly awesome when one chooses to follow Jesus.

John 1:49 “Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.”

1 Corinthians 3:6
“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.”

Luke 15:7
“There is more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents…

5-Step Plan to Assist in Sharing the Gospel:
A. Focus on Sharing the Gospel.

  1. Pray for opportunities to Share the Gospel.
  2. Show Kindness to people who need Jesus.
  3. Share your Story.
  4. Invite them to join you.

7. Salvation unleashes God’s purpose for the saved person.

John 1:50-51 “Jesus said, “You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.” 51 He then added, “Very truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on’ the Son of Man.”
