He’s the Strongest | Psalm 139:13-18
God knows everything about me.
God is always with me.
Psalm 139:13 “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”

Job 42:2
“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.”

God is omnipotent,” means God is all powerful.

God has ultimate power over all things.
God is also the source of all power.

Main Idea: God uses His power for us.Colossians 1:16 “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.”

Psalm 19:1a “The heavens declare the glory of God;”

Psalm 139:13 “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”

God made us.

Psalm 139:13 “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”

Psalm 139:13 “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”

Psalm 139:14-15 “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.”

Eugene Peterson “In the presence of birth, we don’t calculate – we marvel.”

Psalm 139:16 “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Psalm 139:17-18 “How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! 18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you.”

Psalm 139:17a “How precious to me are your thoughts, God!”

Psalm 139:17b “How vast is the sum of them!”

Isaiah 55:9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

1. God’s power is greater than our troubles.

Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save us.”

Psalm 27:2-3a “When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident”

1 Samuel 17:37 “The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.”

1 Samuel 17:45-46a  “David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands.”

2. God’s power is our ultimate place of safety.

Psalm 139:16 “…all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

Psalm 27:1
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

3. God’s power is greater than the forces of evil.

John 12:31 “Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out”

Colossians 2:14-15 “having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”

Jennifer Slattery “When we understand that God, our Creator and Savior, is omnipotent, our chaotic and constantly changing world doesn’t seem quite so scary. No matter how vulnerable or ill-equipped we feel, no matter the challenges and problems we face, we can rest in this truth: God is matchless in power, unconquerable, and always victorious.”
