He’s Always with Me | Psalm 139:7-12God knows everything about me.

Psalm 139:7-12 “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” 12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.”

Psalm 139:7 “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?

Omnipresent “to be present everywhere at the same time.”

Main Idea: “God is always with me.”

139:7a
“Where can I go from your Spirit?”

Proverbs 18:24
“One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”

Hebrews 13:5b “…because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

Matthew 28:20b “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Psalm 139:7b “Where can I flee from your presence?”

Psalm 139:8 “If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.”

Psalm 139:9 “If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,”

Psalm 139:10 “even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.”

Psalm 139:11-12 “If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” 12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.”

1. Because God is there, He provides protection.

2 Kings 6:16–18 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 18 As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, “Strike this army with blindness.” So, he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.”

God + You = A Majority
2. Because God is there, He provides comfort.

Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
3. Because God is there, nothing can separate us from Him.

Romans 8:35-39 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Since God is always with us, spend time with Him.
James 4:8a
“Come near to God and he will come near to you.”

Colossians 1:21-22 “Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. 22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation.”

God is always there, so spend time with Him.
