Are you RFA? Then your limitations will not limit you.
Are you ready to be equipped?
But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, so that I also may be encouraged when I learn of your condition.
Philippians 2:19
A. A social problem (I Timothy 4:12)
B. A shy person (II Timothy 1:7-8) (I Cor. 16:10)
C. A sick person (I Timothy 5:23)
Are you ready to encourage people?
For I have no one else of kindred spirit who will generally be concerned for your welfare. For they all seek after their own interests, not those of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 2:20-21
Are you ready to expand the kingdom?
But you know of his proven worth that he served with me in the furtherance of the gospel like a child serving his father. Therefore, I hope to send him immediately, as soon as I see how things go with me; and I trust in the Lord that I myself also shall be coming shortly.
Philippians 2:22-24
Are you ready to evaluate?
A. Do I get positive feedback from those closest to me that would indicate I have good character – from my wife, my children, my friends? Note that feedback from those who do not know you as well are not a good test. Their feedback may be superficial. They may be impressed with your “public” personality, which may not represent what you really are as a person.
B. Do more and more people trust me with confidential information?
C. Do my relationships grow more significant the longer people know me? Or do my relationships grow strained as people learn to know what I am really like?
D. Does my circle of “close” friends grow continually wider?
E. Am I using my limitations (Timothy could have used several) to excuse myself from serving Christ?
