When a crisis comes into your life it should help expand Christ’s Kingdom.
Your reputation will point to Christ. Acts 9:36-39
A. Do your deeds point to Christ?
Now in Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha or in Greek, Dorcas; This woman was abounding with deeds of kindness and charity, which she did continually. Acts 9:36
B. Would your death point to Christ?
And it came about at that time that she fell sick and died; and when they had washed her body, they laid it in an upper room. Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, having heard that Peter was there, sent two men to him, entreating him, do not delay to come to us. Peter arose and went with them. Acts 9:37-39
C. Will your friends point to Christ?
When he had come, they brought him into the upper room; and all the widows stood beside him weeping and showing all the tunics and garments that Dorcas used to make while she was with them. Acts 9:39b
Your victory over crisis will point to Christ. Acts 9:40-43
A. Will your recovery point to Christ?
But Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed, and turning to the body, he said, ‘Tabitha, arise,’ She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up. He gave her his hand and raised her up; and calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive. Acts 9:40-41
B. Will your crisis result in decisions for Christ?
…it became known all over Joppa, and many believed in the Lord. It came about that he stayed many days in Joppa with a certain tanner, Simon. Acts 9:42-43
What?
If you are a disciple, when crisis comes, will your reputation, your deeds, your death, your friends, your need, and your recovery point to Christ?
So What?
Don’t settle for mediocrity in Christianity. Dare to be a disciple whose life points to Christ.
Now What?
If you give what you have, whether it is money, time, service, kindness, a smile or words, your lives can make a difference in preparing people for eternity.
