Important Items Week of December 26, 2021 We all know Romans 8:28 by heart, but how does that work out in real life? Oddly enough the Christmas story has many instances of things that were not good. Only when God touched them did they work out for the good. Christmas is an illustration of Romans 8:28. We will learn how a series of unfortunate events, or at least untimely events, resulted in the most significant event in the Bible other than the crucifixion and the resurrection. So we will learn from historical examples in the Bible how God remains in control when it seems like things are out of control. God is sovereign! Δ Interact Laurelwood Baptist Church How To Have Thanksgiving and Christmas All Year Long Archived – December 26, 2021 View This Week’s Note View All Past Notes View This Note w/o Blanks How To Have Thanksgiving and Christmas All Year Long December 26, 2021 / Pastor Dennis Beatty The birth of Christ illustrates the truth that “God causes all things to work together for good to them that love Him.” Romans 8:28 It was a tough time Now it came about in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus, that a census be taken of all the inhabited earth. This was the first census taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria. All were proceeding to register for the census, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, in order to register, along with Mary, who was engaged to him and was with child. And it came about that while they were there, the days were completed for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her first-born son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2:1-7 It was the perfect time But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, in order that He might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Galatians 4:4-5 The birth of Christ from the eternal perspective occurred in the “fullness of time.” The prophetic timing was perfect. Isaiah 7:14 Isaiah 9:2-7 Isaiah 11:1-3 Isaiah 40:11 Isaiah 60:1-2 Micah 5:2 Daniel 9 Psalm 72:10 Genesis 22:18 Genesis 49:10 Jeremiah 23:5 Malachi 3:1 Isaiah 9:1 Isaiah 35:5-6 Zechariah 12:10 Psalm 22:18 The political climate was perfect. The cultural climate was perfect. The spiritual climate was perfect. heavenornot.net Save PDF Locally Click to save a copy of the filled-in notes to a PDF file on your device Generate File Click to View PDF Save PDF to Google Drive (Android & PC Only) Click to save a copy of the filled-in notes to a PDF file on your Google Drive account Save File Send to Email Enter your email address below to receive a copy of your filled in notes Send
