Galatians 5

In Galatians 5, Paul shows us what freedom in Christ looks like in practice.

legalism behind. (vv. 1-12)

Stay on the platform of grace.

Don’t let others knock you off course.

Accept the offensiveness of the Gospel.

Call legalism what it is: idolatry.

Liberty is not .

False choice: “Earn favor by serving God” vs. “Enjoy freedom by serving self”.

Freedom is our opportunity to serve in love.

Love fulfills the law.

Legalism destroys community.

Let the Spirit .

We’re in a civil war: flesh vs. Spirit.

The flesh produces works.

The Spirit produces fruit.

The flesh is natural; the Spirit is supernatural.
