The Biblical Perspective of Evil:
Its Nature (Is. 45:7; Rom. 12:21)
Evil is a lack in the relationship between good things.
Its Origin (Is. 14:12-17; Gen. 3)
Evil in the spiritual realm originated with Satan.
Evil in the material world originated with man.
Its Purpose (John 11; Prov. 23:13; Rom. 8:28)
God uses pain- a byproduct of evil- to shape us.
God can use evil to defeat evil.
Its End (II Peter 3:7, 9-10)
The question’s not “Will God end evil?”; it’s “Why doesn’t He end it now?”
Evil persists because God is patient.
