Powerful Prayers of the Bible

Lord, Restore Us (Daniel’s Prayer)

Daniel 9:1-19

An intercessory heart produces powerful prayer.

God’s inspired Scripture informs our prayer. (vv. 1-2; Jer. 25:11-12)

God’s promises invite our participation through prayer. (Jer. 29:10-11; II Peter 3:11-12)

God’s mercy motivates our prayer. (vv. 3-4Rom. 11:25)

God’s sovereignty does not negate vision and foresight in prayer. (Jer. 25:13)

God expects our determination in prayer. (v. 3)

Two Sections to Daniel’s Prayer

Section 1: Confession for the Sin of His People
