Parents and Children in the Lord
(Ephesians 6:1-4)
To CHILDREN (6:1-3)
1. Obey.
2. Honor.
3. Obey and honor your parents because you are Christians (6:1).

5. Obey and honor your parents because God commands it (6:2).
6. Obey and honor your parents because God blesses it (6:3).
- To PARENTS (6:4)
- Put off provoking and put on nurturing (see Eph 4:20-24).
1. Do not provoke your children to anger.
- Parents are commanded to not provoke, discourage, or stir anger.
- Children matter to God!
2. Nurture your children in love.
3. Nurture your children in the Lord.
- Parents, you are responsible to disciple your children.
- Church, we are responsible to help.
- 4. Nurture your children in the Lord’s discipline and instruction.
